When I got out of my car at the Golden Galleon public house on the West side of the Cuckmere Valley and began walking North along the River Cuckmere; I was beginning to think I'd picked the wrong place to park because the entire Western side of the Cuckmere Valley was shrouded in shadow. However, I continued walking and in return was greeted with one of those rare moments when everything seems to come together - in the last moments before sunset; clouds filled the sky, leaving a gap big enough to allow a beam of sunlight to create a stunning rainbow below the rain clouds to the East.
