I was watching that fucking party at the palace shit on TV last night. The music wasn’t as bad as I expected, the first couple of hours were bland pop bands none of which I can remember the names of, but towards the end they had Eric Clapton, Ozzy and Jimmy Ray.. respect to that, although my opinion of Ozzy has fallen a few notches for selling out in such a big way.

I only really watched the end of the concert and I must admit it was quite good. However, I still find it fucking sickening how one person, well one family, can have so fucking much when so many people live in poverty.

There are so many people in this country that will work their arses off their entire lives, doing hard, soul destroying work, and still have problems providing for their family. And the queen just happens to be born into a particular family and she never has to lift a finger for any of her money.

People look up to the royal family, people worship them. When it comes down to it, they’re just a normal family like any other, they just have more than anyone else could possibly dream of. I can see why people look up to them though, they idolise them in a similar way to people idolising pop stars. You can think so much of one person (or one family), become so absorbed in their life that you forget about your own. It’s escapism, getting away from your your shitty little existance by filling your head with someone else’s.

I’m not a communist, I’m not saying wealth should be evenly distributed amongst the people. I’m just saying that people should have to work for their money. And *everybody* should have to pay tax, that includes the queen and the royal family.

Pop stars and super models can both enjoy similar idolisation to the royal family, they probably have comparable wealth, but the difference is, they earned their money, they actually did some work. It’s not often that a pop star becomes a pop star because they are born into a certain family, they have to work, they have to tour, they have to spend hours producing albums etc.. The queen did absolutly nothing, she has never gone on tour, she has never produced an album, she just sits there doing god knows what, and has everything handed to her.

Okay, so the queen does open buildings, she does do charity work and I don’t doubt that she brings the ignorant fucks of this country together in united love for the filthy leeches that are the monarchy. However, there are plenty of pop stars that do work for charity, I’m sure her contribution is no where near what she takes from the public wallet. As for opening buildings and all the other trivial things she does, I’m sure we can find replacements to do the same things for half the price.

Her smugness annoys me, some people say she’s like a cute old lady. I say, leeching millions from public funds is not in the slightest bit cute. She has a stupid smile, she doesn’t do anything useful.

I feel kinda sorry for Will and whatever the other one is called, they seem like fairly normal kids who’re gonna get fucked up by being in the royal family. Charles is quite amusing and I can see him being normal if he wasn’t born into that family.

The queen mother was the worst, she took out thousands of pounds worth of debt right before she died because she knew she wouldn’t have to pay it back. Guess who did? She may be the nation’s grandmother, but she’s just another fucking leech on public money as far as I’m concerned, and I certainly don’t see her as my grand mother. heh.

A grandmother is someone who cares about you, who sends you cards when you’re sick, who calls you every week to make sure you’re okay. A grandmother is someone who buys you sweets when you see her, who hugs you when you’re feeling shitty and who you can talk to.

The queen mother wasn’t a grandmother to anyone, not even her own family, she certainly wasn’t a grandmother to the nation. She was just a fucking leech, a fuckwitted, smug little leech.

They all are, they’re all leeches, I say make them work for their money. Better still, off with their heads, all of them. We live in a democracy, there is no place in this society for them.

If we’re going to put one family on such a pedestal, they should be democratically elected, at least that way they’re accountable for their actions.
